Adam Fenstermaker
Adam Fenstermaker is a senior technology executive with over 25 years of experience in client services/consulting, operations, product design, development, and implementation. He has a proven track record of creating and executing product visions that meet the needs of customers and stakeholders.
Adam is known for his role as the co-founder and Chief Operating Officer of extendedReach, a web-based enterprise health records application (EHR) for social service and behavioral health agencies. Under his leadership, extendedReach grew from a bootstrap startup to a market-leading solution generating $8.6 million in annual revenue. Adam oversaw various aspects of the company, including sales, marketing, operations, financials, product development, implementation, product support, personnel management, and technical infrastructure. He successfully managed and negotiated a merger with private equity group Alpine Software Group (ASG), resulting in the conversion of all KaleidaCare customers to extendedReach. After growing the company to over 500 customers, 50+ employees, and achieving significant revenue, Adam facilitated the transition of operations to Austin, Texas, and handed over responsibilities to a new CEO and management team.
Before extendedReach, Adam co-founded and served as the Managing Partner of Cadence Solutions LLC, an IBM-partnered consultancy focused on custom software development. During his 12 years at Cadence Solutions, Adam oversaw sales, project management, and the design and implementation of over 100 custom software projects across various industries. He also spearheaded several special projects, including the development of a software system that revolutionized how social workers manage foster care cases, resulting in increased efficiency and compliance. Adam's innovative solutions and dedication to excellence earned him recognition, such as receiving the Beacon Award from IBM for the best non-profit solution.
Earlier in his career, Adam held managerial positions at Whittman-Hart and Crowe Chizek, where he consulted with customers to gather requirements, design, program, implement, and support custom software solutions for notable clients like Gerber Products Company, Herman Miller, Caterpillar, Whirlpool, and others.
Adam Fenstermaker holds a Bachelor's degree in Systems Analysis from Miami University, with a study abroad experience at the John E. Dolibois European Center Campus in Differdange, Luxembourg.
